Where Does The Garlic Come From?
We work directly with Sonoma, Mendocino, Monterey, and Lake County garlic growers to bring you the very highest quality fresh California garlic braids and bulbs available anywhere. Our mission is to support small farmers.
Is this site legit?
We’ve been in the garlic business for over 20 years. We started the first garlic-only websites, GarlicPage.com and GarlicGifts.com, in the mid-’90s. We’ve shipped thousands of beautiful, chef-quality garlic braids and bulbs to satisfied customers. We love garlic and passionately believe in the healing properties of delicious fresh California garlic. Please support our small local Northern California farmers.
Our business hours are 7 a.m. – 7 pm Pacific time. When you call our customer service line at (707) 892-3953, we will either answer right away or get back to you quickly to respond to your call. We are passionate about customer service and believe that happy customers are our most important business asset.
Our company is Lark Media LLC, and we are based in the rural Sonoma County community of Guerneville CA. Our owner, Lark Coryell, founded this business in 1993. We are a woman-owned small business. In addition to selling garlic, we do digital destination marketing: we work with local communities, hotels, restaurants, and wineries to promote responsible and sustainable wine country tourism.
We are members of the Russian River Chamber of Commerce, St. Helena Chamber of Commerce, Calistoga Chamber of Commerce, and American Canyon Chamber of Commerce, as well as Sonoma County Hospitality Association and Mendocino Winegrowers.
How Long Does Our Garlic Last?
Stored properly, hung in a dry, dark, well-ventilated space, our garlic braids should last six to nine months. We ship only fresh, ready-to-eat garlic. Garlic is a perishable foodstuff and is affected by climate and storage conditions, so we can’t guarantee how long it will last.
Is This Garlic Organic?
We sell both conventional and organic loose bulbs. Our organic products are certified organic, and kosher.
Our braids are not organic, but are grown by farmers with a deep respect for the environment, according to best practices for sustainable agriculture.
Why Have Prices Gone Up Since Last Year?
It’s pretty simple math. We’re paying our workers more, because there’s a labor shortage, and because it’s the right thing to do. Fuel costs are way up. And shipping costs have increased. Sure, we offer free shipping, but that means we’re paying for it, and we’re paying more. Our profit margin is actually lower this year.
We ship by UPS and Priority Mail, and we track all orders. If you get a notice that the order shipped, and it doesn’t show up within a week or so, let us know and we’ll track it down and ship a replacement if necessary. Garlic@garlicbraids.com
